One of the Top 20 Beaches in the World - Ka'anapali

I've already talked about some of the reasons I love Ka'anapali and everyone else thinks it's pretty great, too. I recently read on TripAdvisor where Ka'anapali ranked #2 in the US for the best beach and #16 in the world. One of the best features is the sunset. Here are a few ways to enjoy it. My first choice is spending the whole day in a cabana, reading, soaking up the sun, and watching whales off the shore. At day's end, having the cabana boy deliver chocolate covered strawberries while we watch the sun go down.

Can't beat that with a stick!

Coming in a close second is the vantage point from Hula Grill.

All seats face the sun.

Before is gets too low you can partake in my favorite island drink, the mai tai.

And a few pupus.

Run out with the crowd and get a few snaps while you are waiting on dessert.

Top off a great sunset with what else but pineapple upside down cake.

Another place to dine under the sunset is Duke's Beach House in the Honua Kai Resort & Spa.

As a matter of fact, Duke's is so good we went twice the last time we were here.

Another place we love for sunset and people watching is Leilani's on the Beach.

Really, you can't go wrong anywhere you go.  Just face west and let nature do all the work.
